BioUrja Plant

The BioUrja plant is a patented feedstock agnostic Anaerobic Digestion plant, which is arguably the world’s most efficient and most compact AD solution, making it the most relevant solution for urban areas.

 

How is it made?

Biogas in the BioUrja is produced by the breakdown of organic waste by bacteria without oxygen (anaerobic digestion or fermentation).

From 1 ton of food waste, the BioUrja generates 70 kg of LPG equivalent.

What types of organic waste could be turned in biogas?

-The BioUrja can process any kind of organic waste, including vegetable peels, bones, fish waste, etc

-Leftover food from houses, shops, restaurants and factories, Canteens, dung

-Sewage

-Leftover straw and crops from farming

-Leftover meat and blood from abattoirs

-Cow, sheep and chicken manure

•Organic waste is treated in closed vessels where, in the absence of oxygen micro organisms break down the organic matter into a stable residue, and generate a methane-rich biogas in the process.

•Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions - Stopping release of 180 Cu Mtr of Methane in to the atmosphere per day per plant which is 22 times more dangerous than CO2 for Global Warming.

•Bio Gas can be utilised as cooking gas in kitchen, boiler, power generation & Bio CNG or even lighting purpose.
